Although there are many vacuum cleaner manufacturers available, the number of cordless vacuum cleaners on offer is very limited. Dyson are our top choice. This article compares the Dyson V11, V10, and V8 models.
REVIEW OF DYSON CORDLESS VSERIES
The cordless vacuum series by Dyson are among the most popular in the cordless market. This is due to not only the strength of Dyson but also because of their performance, reliability, and battery life.
We compared the Dyson V10 to the V8 in our review. However, the V11 was released shortly after that article was written. The V11, the fifth installment of the series looks like this.

DYSON V11 VS. V10 VS. V8 MODEL VARIANTS
There are two versions of the V11: Torque Drive or Animal.
You can also get the V8 in Absolute or Animal versions. The V10 is available in Absolute, Animal and Motorhead versions. Although it is less expensive, the Animal version lacks accessories.
All model variants include a combinator, crevice, and a docking stations.

DESIGN
Although the Dyson V11, V10, and V8 series look similar, there are important differences . They can be used either as stick or hand-held vacuum cleaners. However, they activate when they are held in one’s hand.
The trigger switch is a design feature to maximize battery life by cutting off power when the trigger is released. While some customers find it useful, others find it uncomfortable to hold for prolonged periods of time.
When you look at the assembly of the parts, the subtle differences between V11, V10, and V8 are obvious. The V8’s dust bin is not perpendicular to its extension wand. However, the subsequent versions were made differently.
AIRFLOW DESIGN IMPROVED
An alternative design that improves the airflow between the cleaning head and the motor is available in the V10, V11 models. To improve performance and increase airflow, the V10 and V11 had the wand and dust bin in tandem. This re-design has resulted in significant improvements to the motor. NEW V11 DIGITAL DISPLAY
The V8 and V10 do not include any video notifications or digital screens, unlike the newer model. This is the main difference between the three models.
The V11 has a digital screen that shows a variety of features, including:

The LCD screen at the V11 allows for intermittent switching between the three suction modes, Eco, Auto and Boost. With each release, Dyson has made substantial improvements in this area. Below is a table that shows the suction power in air watts for each power mode. The V8 has only two power modes: low and high. It is important to remember that in Boost Mode drains the battery very quickly, so it should not be used frequently.

We pointed out that the Dyson V10’s air watts are significantly lower at lower settings. This means they won’t be able to replace your or full-sized upright vacuum , if you have a carpeted house.
Dyson claims there is a 20% improvement in V11 suction power compared to V10’s.
The V11 has a max suction of 185AW which is nearly double the value of the earlier models. V10 offers 155AW, while V8 can only 115AW.
REVOLUTIONS P.M. COMPARED
Each new Dyson cordless V-stick has been shown to improve suction. V8 motor spins at 110,000 revolutions per minute (rpm), but V10 and V11 spin at 125,000 RPM.
ROTATING BLADE DESIGN DIFFERENCES
Dyson made the V10’s rotating blades stronger than the V8, but the V11 blade is still much more efficient than the V8. The V11’s blades have a new S-shape and are therefore more efficient, longer and thinner.
IMPROVED CYCLONIC SYSTEM EFFICENCY
The V8 has a two-tier 15 cyclonic system. However, the V10/V11 models have a two tier 14 cyclonic system. They create more force than the V8. The system generates strong centrifugal forces similar to a hurricane. It is designed to collect dirt and dust particles as small as 0.3 microns.
FILTRATION
The motor filter on all three Dyson V models (including the most recent V11) has been updated. This means that less dust particles and allergens are expelled while vacuuming.
All models come with washable HEPA filter. However, the Dyson V8 has an additional central filter. All three models use fade-free batteries. Regardless of whether your battery is full or low, the suction level remains the same. However, they offer different cleaning modes and provide different time frames.
Your battery will drain faster if you have higher power settings. On low suction, the V8’s 2,800 mAh 6-cell Lithiumion battery can run for 40 minutes. Improvements are delivered with 7-cell Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminium lithium-ion battery on the V10 and V11 that runs for up to 60-minutes on Eco Mode.
These maximum times were taken from tests with no powerhead connected and don’t reflect normal usage.
The V11’s V11 battery has intelligent succion control as well as remaining battery notification. Dyson could have made it possible to replace the battery to attract more customers who would like to swap batteries. However, the battery is 20-25 minutes longer than the average.
The V8 and V10 take 6-minutes to run, while the V11 takes 12-minutes in burst mode. This is a significant improvement. The V8 and V10 take 3.5 hours to fully charge, while the V11 takes only 4.5 hours.

VERDICT
