Manchester Vacs Dyson Van

What do I do with my old Dyson or Sebo?

If you want to recycle a Sebo X1, X1.1, X4, X7 or XP from anywhere in the country, we have a dedicated page for that here: >>Recycle your old Sebo vacuum cleaner<<

We offer a free disposal and recycling of Dyson and Sebo vacuum cleaners. Drop your vacuum cleaner off at our Reddish shop and we’ll recycle it.

We will also recycle any Dyson washing machines and fans, heaters or hand dryers. We will take it back if it is Dyson or Sebo and it is not what you want.

If you live near our shop, we’ll even pick up your old Dyson and Sebo for free. Don’t waste your time driving to the tip. We offer free collection of your Dyson or Sebo product in the following areas:

  • Gorton & Abbey Hey M18
  • Reddish SK5
  • Denton, Audenshaw & Haughton Green M34
  • Didsbury, West Didsbury, Northenden & Withington M20
  • Heaton Moor, Heaton Mersey, Heaton Norris, Heaton Chapel SK4
  • Broadbottom, Charlesworth, Chisworth, Gee Cross, Hadfield, Hollingworth, Flowery Field, Hyde, Godley, Mottram in Longdendale, Newton, Hattersley, Hodgefold & Tintwistle SK14
  • Dukinfield & Newton Wood SK16
  • Stockport SK1
  • Stalybridge SK15
  • Ashton-Under-Lyne OL7

If you have a broken Sebo or Dyson DC14, DC15, DC18 or DC (any higher number than 14) to dispose of, or any Dyson fan, heater or hand dryer anywhere within the UK mainland (not Scottish highlands and offshore islands), and are able to package it up, we will pay a courier to collect it from you to be recycled. It’s better than taking it down to the local tip when we will have it collected from you, and you can be sure it will get recycled this way.

All you have to do is send an email to us (see below) with all your details, and we’ll arrange for you to pick up your Dyson.

What happens to your old Dyson or Sebo product?

Recycle your Dyson in Manchester, Stockport & Tameside

When we receive an old Dyson product or Sebo product to recycle, we first take it apart. Then, we select any parts that can be reused on another machine. The parts are then cleaned up and stored in our stores. These parts can then be used to build refurbished Dyson and Sebo products, or they can be sold as part of other parts orders. Your old Dyson and Sebo parts could end up in Melbourne, Moscow, Massachusetts or Milan.

We use everything we possibly can, even down to fuses in plugs and old springs and clips (Steptoe had nothing on us!). Scrap metal is made from motors and cables that have been blown. Many of the ABS plastic that we have now can be recycled. Your old machine is almost never thrown away. We even re-use all the packaging that machines arrive packed in.

We think it’s amazing that bits from your unwanted Dyson or Sebo can be kept alive for many years by the power of the internet. Now that’s green!

Each person throws away more than three tonnes of electrical items every day. We need to be more sustainable in order to preserve the environment. It is environmentally friendly to recycle your Dyson with us. This reduces the number of electrical appliances that are destined for landfill.
