Michael Eric Dyson is a sociology professor at Georgetown University. He is the most prominent person to ever condemn the inauguration of Donald Trump as president. In a recent interview with The Washington Post, Dyson took a swipe at the incoming President’s decision to send letters to the mourning family of Aretha Franklin. But he later defended his views.
Although Donald Trump is undoubtedly an icon of artistic activism, Michael Eric Dyson considered Aretha Franklin one of his heroes.
